Thank you to all 2017 champions and donors. With your support, we’re making a real difference, helping to support thousands of future industry leaders in our communities. All donations will be matched 100% by the State of Washington!

% of Skilled Graduates vs. Need

According to the WTIA, each year the state’s tech industry adds 3500 new jobs that require a Computer Science degree, but generates only 500 new graduates to fill them. Meanwhile the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) predicts Washington will need about 7,000 more nurses than it will have trained by 2025.

Washington is missing out on an opportunity to fill as many as 25,000 high-skill jobs – a number that could double in the next two years.

We cannot afford to keep college out of reach for talented, high-potential students in our region.

The time is now to invest in homegrown students so they can develop the skills they need and graduate prepared for the jobs that drive our economy, help our communities thrive and maintain Washington as a highly-desirable place to live and work.

57% of our scholars are students of color

59% are first-generation college students

57% of our scholars are female

To hit this goal, we need the tech community’s help by making a donation to Geeks Give Back. The best thing about getting involved with Geeks Give Back is that all donations are 100 percent matched by local companies and Washington state, which means every dollar you give doubles.
